Rouen Guided tour Audio guide in English

Visit the surroundings

Both medieval and spiritual, Rouen has managed to retain the soul of its past, which you can immerse yourself in during a walk through the antique dealers' district with its timber framings and craftsmen. An emblematic figure of the city, Joan of Arc is intimately linked to Rouen and many places retrace her history, such as the Historial Joan of Arc or the church that bears her name.

Visit Rouen but also its Seine valley by following the Route des Abbayes which will take you to Jumièges and Saint-Martin-de-Boscherville, among others. You can also opt for the fruit route which will show you the many apple, plum, pear and cherry trees in the region. These products are only a small part of the gastronomic heritage of Normandy. Local products and local specialties are in the spotlight thanks in particular to the chefs, restaurateurs and the Toques de Rouen Seine valley club who carefully prepare exquisite dishes! Not to mention the Autumn Gourmand Festival which will delight your taste buds.

As you will have understood, between the Seine and the forests, the metropolis of Rouen is in itself unmissable!
