London Audio guide in English
Visit the surroundings
London… The mere mention of the English capital conjures up a thousand images. The King, punk music, Harry Potter, bowler hats, and baked beans.
Begin your exploration of London with a visit to
Westminster Abbey, a magnificent introduction to the history of the city (and the country), then join the crowds at Buckingham Palace for the Changing of the Guard. Walk up The Mall to Trafalgar Square, with its majestic architecture. From the square, you can see all of Whitehall.
It is in the City (nicknamed the “Square Mile”), the heart of London's financial district, that you'll find
the Tower of London, an immense medieval fortress and an iconic symbol of the city. Observe the Beefeaters (Yeomen Warders) and the resident ravens before marveling at the Crown Jewels. You can then admire the famous Tower Bridge from the banks of the Thames, or from the glass walkway that connects its two neo-Gothic towers 42 meters above the ground.
Hop on a double-decker bus to enjoy panoramic views of the city, and head to the British Museum for a mind-blowing dose of world culture.
Take the Underground to Knightsbridge. Treat yourself to a window-shopping spree on Brompton Road, with a stop at Harrods, a temple of opulence and extravagance, then stroll through Hyde Park.
