Moissac guided tour Audio guide in English

Visit the surroundings

Moissac is the number one tourist destination in Tarn-et-Garonne. It owes this place to its exceptional heritage, first of all to the Romanesque portal and cloister of the 12th century abbey. Both are classified as World Heritage sites under the Compostela routes.

The site of Moissac, which also includes religious and civil buildings from all periods, as well as the houses rebuilt after the 1930 flood, earned Moissac the status of “Grand Site Occitanie” by the Regional Council.

Crossing the city, the Canal des Deux-Mers invites you to take a walk.

Get on a bike or set off on foot along the towpath that borders it and, in one of the most bucolic settings, cover a few kilometers on its shaded plane trees. You will pass over the remarkable Cacor Bridge, a masterpiece of South-West architecture in Toulouse brick and Quercy stone, which allows the Canal des Deux Mers to span the Tarn, it is 356m long.
